Case Number: D2024-1699
Complainant: Young Pharmaceuticals
Represented by: Cantor Coburn LLC
A pharmaceutical company that has been in business since the late 1970’s has been found guilty of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking in their attempt to use the UDRP process to steal the domain young.com from its current owner.
The pharmaceutical company claims, on its website, to have been in business since 1977. The domain name, itself, was originally registered in 1994.
A three-judge panel of the World Intellectual Property Organization handed up its ruling on July 11, 2024. John Swinson, Phillip V. Marano and Andrew D. S. Lothian were the panelists on the case.
