Trademark Licensing Spat Leads To RDNH For Attempt At PariBahis.com

Case Number: D2022-2242

Complainant: Rillius Holding Limited

Represented by: Bohdan Skrypachov

A trademark licensing dispute that spilled over into a UDRP proceeding has resulted in a ruling of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking against Rillius Holding Limited, of Cyprus, for trying to grab the domain parbahis.com from its owner. The sole panelist, Warwick A. Rothnie, wrote that the complainant’s clear attempt to mislead the panel had earned it the RDNH ruling, which was handed up on September 13, 2022, less than a week after the complainant attempted to include a supplemental filing.

In issuing his ruling, Rothnie wrote, “In light of that failure to disclose highly material facts about the dispute and, further, the failure to explain that failure, the Panel considers that a finding of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking is appropriate in this case.”
