Social Mave Learns Limit Of Her Influence As Cathleen Trigg-Jones Hit With UDRP

Social influencer Cathleen Trigg-Jones has been found guilty of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking in connection with her effort to use the UDRP arbitration process to force the transfer of the domain iwoman.com. While Trigg-Jones has a trademark for that specific term, the domain itself, owned by Witold Stawarz of Poland, was registered in 1997, and acquired by Stawarz in 2009. Trigg-Jones’ trademark dates to 2019.

A single-member panel of the World Intellectual Property Organization, composed of panelist Assen Alexiev, handed up a ruling of RDNH against Trigg-Jones on October 3, 2023.
