A single-member panel of the National Arbitration Forum has found a New Jersey-based maker of air purifiers and mold testing kits for the home, My Healthy Home, LLC, guilty of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking after attempting to use the UDRP process to force the transfer of the domain healthyhomeexperts.net. The domain is owned by an Indianapolis, Indiana-based company providing home repair, sealing and waterproofing services, Home Health Experts.
While the New Jersey-based company owns a 2012 trademark for “healthy home expert”, the sole panelist in the case, Nathalie Dreyfus, found the Indiana company, which registered the domain healthyhomeexperts.net in 2022, is both commonly-known by the name and is making legitimate use of the domain for an offering of goods or services.
A ruling of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking was handed up against the My Healthy Home, LLC on December 17, 2024.
