Not Giving An Inch, WIPO Finds Company Tried To Hijack 1inch.com

Case Number: D2024-2132

Complainant: 1inch Limited

Represented by: Internally represented

A company from the British Virgin Islands has been found to have abused the UDRP arbitration process to impel the transfer of the domain 1inch.com from its current, and only, registrant, who originally bought the domain in 1999. However, a single-member panel of the World Intellectual Property Organization found the company, 1inch Limited, guilty of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking, as the company did have any trademark rights until 2021.

Panelist Flip Jan Claude Petillion handed up his RDNH ruling on July 29, 2024.
