First-name, Last-name Dispute Ends In RDNH For Company In India

An established India-based textile manufacturer has been found guilty of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking in connection with their attempt to force the transfer of the domain nallifinancialservices.com via the UDRP process. The company, the Chennai-based Nalli Chinnasami Chetty, had sought, by and through counsel, to take the domain from a U.S.-based entrepreneur, whose surname is Nalli, and who provides financial planning services.

A single-member panel of the World Intellectual Property Organization, comprised of Steven a. Maier, handed up the RDNH ruling against Nalli Chinnasami Chetty on January 7, 2025.
