Bernina International AG, of Steckborn, Switzerland, was found guilty of Reverse Domain Hijacking by a three-member panel of the World Intellectual Property Organization. The panel handed up its ruling on November 7.
Bernina International, a Swiss-based manufacturer of sewing and embroidery equipment, had attempted to get the domain bernette.com, filing a UDRP on September 6, 2016, according to the WIPO record. Bernina International was represented by Python, a law firm based also based in Switzerland, with offices around the world.
The domain holder is privacy protected, and was represented by John Berryhill.
