Maxey-Fisher, PLLC represented the Sarasota, Florida law firm of Hale Law, P.A. in its effort to steal the domain GoToHale.com from its owner, Roger Hale, who purchased the domain in 2000. The law firm did not exist until 2018, and a trademark for slogan mark, “Go To Hale”, was not issued until December 28, 2021. A three-member panel of the World Intellectual Property Organization handed up a ruling of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking against Hale Law, P.A. on April 20, 2023.
